WHIRLPOOL CORPORATION - WIND FARM SCHOLARSHIPS

Whirlpool Corporation, the world's largest global manufacturer and marketer of major home appliances, is offering the following Whirlpool Corporation Wind Farm Scholarships (listed below).

Each scholarship is a one-time award in the amount of either $5,000 or $2,500, depending on location. See below for eligibility details regarding Hancock, Putnam, and Marion counties.


WHIRLPOOL CORPORATION WIND FARM SCHOLARSHIP - HANCOCK COUNTY
Two Whirlpool Corporation Wind Farm Scholarships are awarded annually to students residing in Hancock County. Each scholarship is a one-time award in the amount of $5,000.

ELIGIBILITY 
To be eligible for the Whirlpool Corporation Wind Farm Scholarship, applicants must: 

  • be a senior for the 2018-2019 academic school year, reside in Hancock County, Ohio, and attend an accredited school.
  • have plans to complete a college education in a science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) discipline at an accredited school.
  • include two references.
  • submit two letters of recommendation.
  • submit an essay on the following topic: 
    "How STEM careers can influence and impact sustainability in manufacturing." 
  • submit an official high school transcript.
  • complete and submit the scholarship application. 

Application deadline is January 19, 2018.


WHIRLPOOL CORPORATION WIND FARM SCHOLARSHIP - PUTNAM COUNTY
One Whirlpool Corporation Wind Farm Scholarship is awarded annually to a student residing in Putnam County, Ohio with plans to complete a college education in a science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) discipline. This scholarship is a one-time award in the amount of $5,000.

ELIGIBILITY 
To be eligible for the Whirlpool Corporation Wind Farm Scholarship, applicants must: 

  • be a senior for the 2017-2018 academic school year, reside in Putnam County, Ohio and attend an accredited school.
  • have plans to complete a college education in a science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) discipline at an accredited school.
  • include two references.
  • submit two letters of recommendation.
  • submit an essay on the following topic: 
    "How STEM careers can influence and impact sustainability in manufacturing." 
  • submit an official high school transcript.
  • complete and submit the scholarship application. 

Application deadline is February 24, 2018.


WHIRLPOOL CORPORATION WIND FARM SCHOLARSHIP - MARION COUNTY
One Whirlpool Corporation Wind Farm Scholarship is awarded annually to a student residing in Marion County, Ohio with plans to complete a college education in a science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) discipline. This scholarship is a one-time award in the amount of $5,000.

ELIGIBILITY 
To be eligible for the Whirlpool Corporation Wind Farm Scholarship, applicants must: 

  • be a high school senior or graduate for the 2017-2018 academic school year.
  • attend or have attended Marion County High School; or be a senior and candidate for graduation/completion from a home school, eSchool, digital/online school, virtual academy, community school, or other state recognized charter non-public school.
  • have been a resident of Marion County throughout entirety of high school.
  • posses a 2.5+ high school GPA if applicant is a high school student.
  • posses a 2.5+ college GPA if applicant is a college student.
  • be pursuing or intent to pursue a field of study in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (S.T.E.M.).

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION:
Special consideration will be taken for current seniors and candidates for graduation from high school.

    WHIRLPOOL CORPORATION MARION SCHOLARSHIP - MARION COUNTY

    Additional Whirlpool Corporation Marion Scholarships will be awarded annually to students residing in Marion County, Ohio with plans to complete a college education in a science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) discipline. A total amount of $10,000 will be awarded to students in various scholarship amounts who are attending Ohio State University Marion, Marion Technical College or any eligible educational institution.
